Our highly skilled Education, Training and Health promotion team deliver a wide range of services and programs to the Tasmanian community.

So far in 2018 we have; run celebrations for National Condom Day (February 14th), delivered Professional Learning to schools and community services including White Lion, Save the Children, Ashley Youth Detention Centre, St Patrick’s College, and Giant Steps, and we have also run education sessions for students in primary schools, secondary schools and colleges statewide.

This year our team has grown to twelve staff members and we look forward to increasing the ways that we are promoting respectful relationships and sexual health across the state.  In the second half of this year, stay tuned for the following:

School Education – Places for The Growing Up Program (Kindergarten to Year 6) are booking out quickly; we still have some availability in Term 4.  We are also taking bookings for 2019.  We also have limited sessions available for secondary and colleges.

LARC4U – we will be consulting with young people to develop youth friendly information about Long Acting Reversible Contraception, starting with a youth survey coming soon.  Get involved by sharing the survey or send any suggestions through to

LGBTIQ Health Literacy Project – FPT advocate for the right for all people to have access to information on their reproductive and sexual health needs.  FPT will be developing a health promotion campaign, safer sex information and a resource for teachers to increase access to sexual health information that is inclusive of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

SoSAFE! – FPT continue to be the sole providers of this professional learning workshop that provides participants with the skills and simple visual tools to enhance the social, social-sexual and social safety training of people with moderate to severe intellectual disability.
