Chair and Board Opportunities

For almost 50 years, not-for-profit organisation Family Planning Tasmania (FPT) has played a critical role in the sexual and reproductive health and well-being of the Tasmanian community. We are a proud organisation that stands strongly for choice, we believe that every individual has the right to live free of discrimination, regardless of their age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, ethnic background, religion or disability. FPT pioneered the right to access education and services for contraception in Tasmania; were a critical player in overcoming the outdated homosexuality laws in the late 1990s and today we operate state-wide clinical services and education programs to improve our community’s health.

As we enter a period of growth, brand expansion and business development we are seeking a new, strong leader to become our Chairperson along with new Directors. Our focus on community support extends to our Directors and we are proud to offer a development pathway which may include support for director professional development.
